Left: large coconut shrimp with a sweet and sour sauce, yum, and filling.
Center: Sauteed shrimp with sun-dried tomatoes, Kalamata olives, and a velvety lime-tomato garlic sauce, topped with feta. OMG the flavors are amazing.
Right: Pumpkin Crème Brûlée. With a small hint of cinnamon and nutmeg, it tasted like pumpkin pie with whipped cream on top. I’m a HUGE fan of pumpkin pie and this was exactly what I needed to call it an evening. It is heavenly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Food and Restaurants, Our Town Sarasota News EventsEven though we are in Florida fresh seafood is sometimes hard to come by. Our number one rated seafood market is LostsaLobsterSarasota.com.
It is run and owned by Susanne a Floridian and local resident. Their Maine lobsters are flown in daily and they will steam them for you for $2 each, a bargain! If you have never tried Faroe Island salmon this is a must. It doesn’t have that strong salmon taste. They also have a large selection of shellfish, frozen goods, and fresh fish.

Lotsa Lobster Seafood Market in Sarasota is a New England-style seafood market known for its fresh Maine lobster and other high-quality seafood flown in daily from the North Atlantic. They offer a variety of seafood, including cod, haddock, halibut, sea scallops from Massachusetts, and local Florida favorites like grouper, snapper, shrimp, and stone crabs (in season).

While the market doesn’t offer dine-in services, they will happily steam your lobster or shrimp for take-home meals. Their 1,000-gallon lobster tank allows you to select your own live lobster. Located at 8780 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, it’s a popular spot for fresh seafood(
