The tulip farm from our America Cross Country Tour in Portland, Oregon in April. Luckily for us their blooms were delayed about a week until we arrived there. This tulip field was around a half-mile by half-mile wide. Unfortunately, tulips do not grow well in Florida.
Our New Zealand tour took us to Milford Sound with the fjords to Queenstown and Nelson. It’s an amazing country to visit.
Quito, Peru’s architecture takes you back to the 1800s with church alters covered in gold.
We had a great weekend visit at the Don Cesar in Saint Petersburg. Known as Florida’s “Pink Palace,” the Don Cesar, facing the white sands of the Gulf of Mexico, was built in 1928 to resemble a Mediterranean-style castle.
A visit to the Biltmore Estates was a perfect picture day and only around 20 minutes from the Grove Park Inn.
The Amazon is an incredible experience that takes you back in time with natives that still wear loin clothes, live off of the land and river, and practice their ancient ways. If I had Bill Gates money I would own a place there to just get away from civilization.
Our Alaska tour took us to Juneau, Ketchikan, and Skagway with a last stop at Vancouver, BC.
The oldest City in the United States St. Augustine. We love the architecture there.
