Suncoast Charities for Children, organizer of the 2nd Annual Suncoast Summer Fest, officially announced several special event fundraisers raising money to help local children, teens, and adults with special needs. These events are as follows:
Friday – June 24 6th Annual Bob Rizi Memorial Golf Classic at The Meadows Country Club
Monday – July 4 Bayfront Fireworks Spectacular at Marina Jack
Saturday – July 9 “Waves & Wheels” Summer Party at Robarts Arena
Thursday – July 14 Charity Poker Tournament at One-Eyed Jacks Poker Room
This year, Festival organizers have expanded the “Waves and Wheels” event. This indoor event will feature live music by Hurricane Shane, Tampa’s ultimate party band, which is sure to heat up the dance floor. Guests will also enjoy food stations, an open bar, and casino-style gaming tables. Tickets are $100 per person and are available online via the Festival’s website.
Net proceeds raised from Suncoast Summer Fest enable Suncoast Charities for Children to provide financial support to Sarasota Special Olympics, Loveland Center, Children First, The Haven, The Florida Center for Early Childhood, Venice Challenger Baseball, and the Suncoast Foundation. Suncoast Charities for Children will continue to host “The Friendliest Catch” Fishing Tournament, on June 29, at the Sarasota Outboard Club. This event remains a private event and a special day out on the water for mentally and physically challenged clients who receive services from these non-profits.
Suncoast Charities for Children’s Executive Director, Lucy Nicandri, stated: “Suncoast Summer Fest helps us sustain our fundraising efforts during the Summer months, while at the same time, offers us the ability to add new events in the future and expand our community partnerships.” For event updates and additional information visit: suncoastsummerfest.org
