The 40th Annual Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix, presented by Visit Sarasota
County, will return September 13-15th on Lido Key. The 3-day acFon-packed event will kick off
with a pit party featuring Nashville country arFst Andy Velo, food trucks, powerboat displays,
and more for aMendees before over 50 race teams compete for the checkered flag in the next
round of the 2024 APBA NaFonal and UIM World Championships.

Sarasota is the second longest-running US powerboat race desFnaFon in the naFon. It is the
fourth event in this year’s P1 Offshore series following races held in Cocoa Beach, FL, Lake of the
Ozarks, MO and Sheboygan, WI. Net proceeds raised from this year’s event will benefit the P1
Marine FoundaFon, a non-profit that focuses on conservaFon by raising awareness of threats to
our oceans, supporFng research, and providing youth scholarships for students going into the
field of marine conservaFon. This year, the P1 Marine FoundaFon will be making a donaFon to
Mote Marine’s community-engaged STEM educaFon program (C-STEM), which provides hands-
on marine science educaFon for students who are underrepresented in the sciences and
underserved in our community.
