Seven film directors take the stage at the SFF GulfCoast Chapter of UN Women event at the Art Center of Sarasota. Saturday. 'Atomic Mom' was said to have gotten one of the only standing ovations.
Carnival Tropical was the event of the evening for the Sarasota Film Festival on Wednesday at the Sarasota Yacht Club. Two bands and five bars with tons of photographers and everyone asking are the stars coming tonight?

water in the background.
The SKB parasailing boat cruises and advertises themself's and the SFF.
Director MT Silva movie Atomic Mom got standing ovations at the SFF.
Geena Davis and her husband attend a public luncheon, Friday, at the Sarasota Yacht Club as part of the SFF.
Geena Davis spoke about her Foundation, Institute on Gender in Media, that helps educate and promote more women in speaking roles. Independent research shows only 1 in 3 women have speaking roles based on a 2009 study .
With over 180 films there is something for everyone at the Sarasota Film Festival. Most films are shown at the Hollywood 20 downtown Sarasota.
